I am a qualified and experienced Adult Instructor working with Landed Immigrants and Refugees in the LINC (Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada) program. My background, passion, and purpose in life (other than being a mother) is to be in the classroom. My main goal as a teacher is to ensure lessons and material are relevant and impactful for the students' learning outcomes whereby encouraging students to take responsibility for their learning. My career and work life has been put on the back burner to care for my youngest daughter who was diagnosed with a critical illness in the spring of 2022. Currently I am still not working to care for her. This has been my greatest purpose and I am grateful that I am able to put my career on hold to be a full time caregiver.
