I have extensive leadership experience spanning more than a decade including Not for Profit and Business Operations leadership. I build and support passionate people-focused and engaged teams, while driving operational excellence. I am known as a collaborative and communicative leader and coach, with experience supervising and recruiting leaders, team members and volunteers. I'm a passionate, people focused leader and coach. I build engaged, driven, committed, and innovative teams. I take a collaborative and team centered approach to process improvement. Communication and trust are key to our success. I bring a unique blend of customer and public facing Operations management experience from TELUS and Emergency Call center experience from Alberta Health Services and STARS Vigilant. I am a committed and emotionally intelligent coach, tailoring my approach to the needs of the individual team members, as required. As a Operations manager, with experience leading large innovative, high performing teams, I have a track record of coaching my teams to success. I understand that team members and customers have varying needs and that they may learn, grow, and receive support differently. I believe that remaining calm is a superpower, and I can also think rationally and make decisions under pressure. I have extensive experience hiring, training and coaching staff in both Not for Profit and Business spaces. I am able to performance manage my teams when necessary and seek to understand how I can best support the teams in my care with both excellence and empathy. I am passionate about people, ideas, and innovation. Team members have felt encouraged and comfortable bringing forward ideas or plans, knowing that I will provide them with assistance and support to achieve their goals. Proactive communication and training, transparency where possible, along with meaningful coaching are some of the ways that I drive process improvement and support change in the teams I support. Ensuring that team members feel well supported is something I care deeply about. I am a passionate public speaker and communicator and enjoy bringing ideas to life. Leadership is both an art form and a science, and employing diverse and thoughtful process improvement, coaching, and performance management are several ways that I ensure success within my teams.
