About Laurel Rings

Living in God’s creation, in vivid colors and realism, I choose to pull my inspiration from the world around me and use my talents for His glory. God inspires my work. Graphic design is part of our daily lives. It is a creative process where art and technology combine. It is a means of communication between designer and client, being able to visually communicate with the world around us. My hope is to create compelling designs to aid in this communication.​ I love looking at the world, beyond face value, finding dual purpose for ordinary objects and visualizing something that is not there. It is pushing beyond boundaries and testing the limits, of the known, to bring art into existence from the unknown. I push myself to think creatively and to take brave steps to show my audience exactly who I am as a designer. The main characteristics found in my work are highly saturated colors, organic figures, abstraction in illustrations, asymmetrical balance, tension in the spacing of my type, and typography functioning as an illustrative element. I believe that communication is key in all areas of life. It is important for me to maintain readability and I choose to use mostly sans-serif typefaces to accomplish this. I strive to create designs that are fun and unique and my hope is to express to my audience the passion I have for all things design.​
