About Lauren Bourke

Lauren Bourke is a development professional with over 15 years of institutional and major gift fundraising experience to support climate change, social justice, and grassroots-led initiatives. Lauren has designed and led full-cycle philanthropic strategies to successfully secure multi-millions in general operating and programmatic support from domestic and international funders. As an independent consultant, she has worked directly with multiple founding executives and support staff to develop and implement ground up, systems-based grant programs to sustain financial longevity. Prior to working in the nonprofit sector, Lauren's background in finance—consisting of six years in the accounting industry and a degree in economics—has served her well in developing grant proposals and reports that align narratively and financially. With a master’s degree in creative writing and a certificate in technical and professional writing, she also brings exemplary skills in writing and communication. Lauren is seeking opportunities to work with impactful environmental and/or social justice organizations that will leverage her passion and skillset as a fundraiser, writer, and team player.
