About Lauren Bugner

Lauren Bugner is a recent midwifery and women’s health nurse practitioner graduate from Georgetown University. She brings with her extensive preparation and clinical skills training and will be diligently integrating her knowledge and refining her skills. Lauren is very passionate about the reproductive health of all people and hopes that as she progresses in her career, she is able to provide an inclusive and safe environment of care people of all genders, races, ethnicities and ages. Furthermore, she desires to work in legislation to make laws and advocate for safe, affordable, and accessible healthcare for all. Currently, Lauren is a registered nurse working in gynecological and breast surgical oncology at Northside Hospital. In this role, she has had the privilege to meet and care for extraordinary people who have encouraged her to peruse a master’s in nursing degree. Working with underserved populations in Atlanta, Lauren has gained valuable experience and knowledge which has inspired her to make a change, not only for her local community but across the country. Lauren holds a multistate registered nurse license, and training in fetal heart monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and nexplanon insertion. Lauren was awarded the Student Leadership award, Spirit of Nursing award and Nightingale award from the University of South Florida College of Nursing in 2020. In January of 2024 Lauren was awarded the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Lauren Bugner also holds a Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida. When she is not in clinic, she is reading a new science fiction novel or snorkeling in the water (with lots of sun protection!)
