About Lauren Clark

Lauren has a degree in Arts and Festival Management with Dance. She graduated in 2023 and has started a job as Fundraising and Communications Officer at The Strode Park Foundation. This Degree has offered her a multitude of experiences and opportunities which has enabled her to gain a wide range of skills. These experiences have allowed her to add individual flair and personal touch to her events, festivals, and dancing. Through these, she has been able to communicate in a verbal and physical sense, enhancing her understanding of people. During her final year at university, she planned and delivered a weeklong festival called Cultural eXchanges. This is where she put her skills of artist liaison, venue booking, social media posts, Canva skills, communication, financing, fundraising, and negotiation to use. Similarly to this, in her second year she undertook a placement at Nottingham Playhouse where she assisted the participation department with different events such as the National Theatre Connections Festival and their Schools’ Massive event. From this opportunity she was asked back to assist again in 2023. Throughout her second and third year, Lauren participated in the DMU Dance Society, attending classes each week and rehearsing for competitions. Dance competitions make you work under a great deal of pressure, so her skills in this are high and can be translated into any job role or task.
