About Lauren Elder
My name is Lauren Elder! I'm an illustrator and designer originally from Upstate New York, now living outside of Chicago. I graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2022, where I earned by BFA in Illustration, concentrating in Animated Illustration and Publication Design. My illustration is primarily focused in the editorial and book publishing markets, but I've also found a real love for product and surface design! My work is very colorful and textured, and I enjoy trying to blur the lines between digital and traditional illustration. I also love incorporating fantasy, costume, and narrative into my work. As a visual storyteller, my illustrations are rooted in detail and research, and I am always eager to learn from others and collaborate!
