I am an adaptable, passionate, and high-achieving student pursuing a dual degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences and Psychological Sciences at Purdue University. At Purdue University, I am an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Alexander Francis' Speech Perception and Cognitive Effort (SPACE) Lab, where we investigate the cognitive challenges posed by unwanted noise and difficulties perceiving sound. Recently, we have begun designing a study to explore the relationship between hearing loss and fall risk in older adults, and what underlying mechanisms may explain this relationship. I am also involved in Purdue NSSLHA, a student-run organization focused on Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences that is dedicated to encouraging professional growth, high levels of academic achievement, and community involvement.
