About Lauren Gaeding

I grew up in the midwest hiking and enjoying the outdoors whenever possible with my family. Nature has always brought me two things in life; peace and inspiration, both essential to produce interesting, dynamic, effective pieces. When not out on an adventure I enjoy tapping into my creative side; from wood burning and restoring old lamps to dissecting print ads, magazine layouts, and exploring unconventional uses of typography. I have always been intrigued with the psychology behind ads and how we as visual creatures interpret them differently. I went to school for graphic design and received my bachelor’s degree from The Illinois Institute of Art- Chicago in 2015. After graduating I was hired to do marketing/graphic design for an international dental company; working there for 4.5 years. During this time I took a trip to the Sierra’s for the first time and it changed my life forever. It was then that I realized what I was missing and needed to move across the country to be in the mountains. I have lived in North Lake Tahoe now for 5 years and love every second of it! As a designer in the Lake Tahoe community I feel like I have hit the lottery with happiness and always look forward to my next adventure and design.
