About Lauren Gardner

I have over 5 years of experience in behavioral health nursing. With motivational interviewing and active listening, clients have received compassionate nursing care during a vulnerable time in their lives. I am dedicated to strengthening the quality of services with educating the public. I was a behavioral health care coordinator for Aurora Healthcare. I assisted in providing clients with access to behavioral health services. I was involved in one of Wisconsin's first behavioral health integration programs, working alongside behavioral health clinicians and primary care providers. I am passionate about improving access to behavioral health services. I have volunteered for events organized by NAMI. The past few years have been dedicated to maintaining the health of my community and advocating for my clients in my area. Through different nursing opportunities I have been able to promote wellness and independence in my clients. I graduated with my bachelor's in nursing from Herzing University in 2014. I have nursing experience in psychiatric crisis services, behavioral health inpatient treatment, behavioral health child and adolescent inpatient treatment, orthopedic clinic nursing, RN care coordination, outpatient behavioral health services, behavioral health integration, community nursing, and managed care nursing.
