About Lauren Gray

I began dancing at Jeslyn Performing Arts Center, now known as 4th Avenue Arts, during the center's inaugural year and knew immediately I wanted to find a career combining my love of arts, health, and community. In addition to taking jazz, modern, ballet, and master classes at the studio, I was part of the Fairland High School dance team from 2007-2009. Following high school, I moved to Saipan, where I studied ballet and jazz under Anna Glushko at Glushko's Academy of the Performing Arts and was a 4.0 student at Northern Marianas College. Upon returning to Huntington in 2010, I enrolled at Marshall University and studied Exercise Science and Dance. I graduated Cum Laude with a BS in Exercise Science with a specialization in Clinical Exercise Physiology as well as a Dance minor in December 2013. As a continuation of movement studies and body awareness, I began Pilates training. I am mat certified and working towards completing her hours to become fully apparatus certified through the Pilates Method Alliance. I am also a Yoga Alliance RYT200 certified yoga instructor and want to infuse wellness and art into my community. In 2014, I began training in the Mini Movers teacher training program and I am an instructor for the 1.5 - 5 years old students. I finished my second BS in Biomechanics at Marshall University and preparing for a future in performing arts and fitness.
