About Lauren Grubb

I am currently in my 10th year of teaching in the special education inclusive setting. I have worked in inclusive settings with a mix of children with special needs and typically developing peers as well as SDC classroom setups. I have worked with low income families, head start children, and ELL children both in rural West Virginia and throughout the Bay Area, California. I have experience with clients living with severe emotional and/or developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, intellectual, mood, behavior, and anxiety disorders. I analyze data to create individualized education plans, examine deficits, and write material. Outside of the school environment setting, my future focus is in relationship building, talent acquisition, human resources, and other corporate strategies to ensure a beneficial impact on a company's overall goals. Responsibilities include-managing 15+ students across 8 different schools on a daily basis -delivering instruction and interventions to improve progress for students from a diverse learning population -implementing a comprehensive assessment system to track IEP data for all learners -integrating progress monitoring -creating flexible goals for students who qualify for special education -collaborating with administration, teachers, parents, school psychologists, speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, physical therapists, and others to make team decisions to best fit the needs of students -communicating effectively with families to ensure student success
