About Lauren Hull

My journey within education started in 2007, in a small 1 form entry primary school, where I quickly realised I have a passion for wanting to make a difference - schools allow me to do this (plus it helps when you're working with lots of inspiring children, whose aspirations for themselves and their peers are wonderfully optimistic!) Sixteen years into the profession, I believe that the core support functions in any organisation underpin the foundations of its structure - this is absolutely apparent in schools. Without strong, well supported foundations, the organisation will not achieve its vision, which is why I am passionate about ensuring the schools that I work in have secure, stable and efficient support functions led by strong transformational leadership and operational support. My current role allows me to be a key strategic decision maker within the Academy. This could be decisions around budgets and finances, recruitment, selection and retention, capital projects and change management, compliance and Health and Safety, policy implementation, data protection, administration or community development and engagement. The role is extremely dynamic which is what I love - the variety and diversity - no two days are the same. By being a resourceful, innovative and creative senior leader, I get to give the students within the Academy the opportunity to experience something that they may not have had without my input - this gives me purpose in my role and everyday I have a sense of pride and achievement in what I do. In 2019, I achieved my Masters in Business Administration along with the Level 7 Senior Leader qualification with ILM and CMI status. This is one of my greatest professional achievements to date. Along with the knowledge developed through my professional career, the MBA allowed me to develop the mastery, self awareness and reflective practice required for me to be successful in my current post. I am a mum to 3 wonderful boys and love to spend time with my family, enjoying holidays and day trips to local museums, national trust parks and theme parks!
