About Me I’m part of the team at Thomson Bethune - a proudly independent, multi-disciplinary consultancy with roots going back to the early 70's. What sets us apart? Over 80% of our work comes from repeat clients, which speaks volumes about the trust we’ve built. ‍ What I Do Working closely with our Directors, I help build and deliver technical services across a wide mix of sectors from Local Authority and Government to Commercial, Residential, Education and Healthcare. My current workload is diverse and spans across different sectors, values, and levels of complexity. I’m particularly focused on: • Representing clients in dilapidations matters, offering clear, strategic advice to both landlords and tenants • Providing technical due diligence to inform property transactions and investment decisions • Acting as an Expert Witness, drawing on practical experience and technical clarity to support legal proceedings • Investigating and diagnosing complex building defects across all property types • Undertaking site inspections and fulfilling Clerk of Works roles to uphold quality, materials, and workmanship standards • Advising on conservation and restoration, with sensitivity to heritage, fabric, and compliance • Supporting design development and leading the process of obtaining statutory consents • Completing measured surveys and preparing detailed reports or general arrangement layouts • Managing contract administration and compiling professional tender documentation, including NBS specifications • Exploring new ways of working through drone-led aerial inspections using our DJI Mini 4 Pro, improving access, accuracy and safety 🤝 How I Work I take pride in delivering technically sound work while supporting the people behind each project. My approach combines clear communication, practical insight, and a proactive mindset whether on-site, in meetings, or at the desk. Every project brings its own challenges, and I enjoy tailoring my approach to suit. I focus on understanding the bigger picture, balancing client needs with building demands, compliance, and cost. I’m hands-on, dependable, and solutions-driven collaborating closely with clients, consultants, and contractors to maintain momentum and deliver quality. Simply put, I aim to be the kind of consultant I’d want to work with: approachable, informed, and fully invested.
