First of all, thank you to an old high school friend from Simmie, who suggested I may like working in OHS. Sixteen years later I still enjoy working with people to help them with hazard id, assessment and controls; SMS development; incident investigations and navigating legislation. The best part of working at WCB is the variety of customers and industries I encounter. I get to revisit earlier careers (retail, education, manufacturing, construction and municipalities). It's been exciting to watch Dr. Joti Samra work with WCB developing Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) resources for all SK people to access. Its rewarding to watch PHS evolve from an idea to practical application.
