About Lauren Oconnor

Lauren earned her PhD from the University of Toronto, where she conducted nearly five years of clinical research at The Hospital for Sick Children studying the human microbiome. Prior to this, she spent four years conducting basic science research in oncology, including breast cancer and oncolytic vaccines. As a medical writer with over four years of experience in healthcare communications, Lauren has supported a wide range of deliverables across medical affairs, commercial, market access, and HEOR. Her work includes scientific communication platforms, modular content, peer-to-peer speaker decks, scientific narratives, mechanism of action and mechanism of disease (MOA/MOD) videos, medical affairs websites, AMCP and global value dossiers, clinical summaries, and peer-reviewed manuscripts for both US and global audiences.
