Background
About Lauren Rice
My name is Lauren Rice and I have been working for CBS Radio Seattle for over 3 years now. I have always been a lover of music but unfortunately was never skilled at playing any instruments. Radio was really the perfect way for me to support the music that I loved. I attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg, WA where I was an on-air DJ at 88.1 The Burg KCWU for 4 years. During my time at 88.1 The Burg I hosted a 3-hour show planning the music and content for the show each week. I also would arrange artist interviews and ticket giveaways for the show, interviewing local artists Allen Stone, Star Anna and The Physics. Graduated from CWU in December 2013 and moved back home to the Seattle. I started working for CBS Radio Seattle working on the Promo Crew April of 2014. A year later I started assisting our on-air/programming department at our sports channel, 1090 The Fan, as a board-op on the weekends. I currently run the boards for 1090 The Fan 6am-12pm Monday through Friday. I also work for The Showbox, an AEG Live owned venue in Seattle. I currently am a venue attendant and also work coat check. I also got the opportunity to work as an Artists Relations Assistant at Bumbershoot Music Festival 2017. As someone who loves music I could not be anymore happier with this job!
