About Lauren Shultz

An experienced GIS specialist and marine archaeologist with a demonstrated history of working in the energy sector and research industry. Skilled with various data management and processing software, GIS analysis and AutoCAD drafting, terrestrial and marine excavation, conservation techniques, and hydrographic survey equipment. A mission-driven professional with a Master of Science degree in Maritime Archaeology and Conservation from Texas A&M University and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Oregon. As well as graduate certificates in both Geographic Information Systems and Conservation Training. An experienced PADI Divemaster, with underwater excavation experience and specialty certifications in nitrox, altitude, and deep diving. Since entering the industry in 2014, I have worked in various terrestrial and marine environments in the Caribbean, Pacific, and Mediterranean as an archaeologist. Outside of the industry, I have over 10 years of experience in customer service, data entry and analysis, and project operation management. I have completed various projects in the field using GIS leading to published research. This experience has provided me with invaluable skills useful for vital positions supporting database management systems and their applications within the fields of archaeology, cultural resource management, GIS, spatial analysis and drafting, and conservation.
