About Lauren Snowden

I'm the Market Manager for San Antonio and the South Texas Valley at MDI. My team and I understand that budgets are often conservative and furniture is an investment not to be made lightly. At MDI, we believe that great design should be available to everyone, which is why we partner with a wide array of commercial furniture and product manufacturers to ensure impeccably designed, quality furniture options are available at several price points to work with ALL budgets, big and small. I’ve worked in the architecture and design profession for over 18 years. I began my career working in Historic Preservation, a profession and subject that I greatly value and one that ultimately influenced my decision to become an urban, downtown resident in my hometown of San Antonio, TX. I've since started a family and moved out to the suburbs, but still live inside 1604! Fun Facts- As a preservationist, I completed survey and documentation drawings (in conjunction with HABS - Historic American Buildings Survey) for several project sites across the U.S. – these documents reside in the Library of Congress- I was published in the November/December 2011 issue of Texas Architect, for the article “The Hobbit House” which I co-authored with my colleague describing a pro-bono project we completed benefiting the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
