About Lauren Sorrell

Postgraduate student of Psychology and Counselling Therapies. I consider myself to be an enthusiastic and hardworking individual with an ability to work well in a team and independently. As a mature student, I have experienced and learnt valuable lessons from working full time in various environments that prepared me for my time at University. The skills I have acquired, I consider to be vital in any working environment; time management, adaptability, communication and effective listening. These skills have provided me with the confidence to succeed in any situation I or anybody else puts me in. My goal is to one day work as a counsellor alongside children on the Autism spectrum within schools and make a positive difference to their educational experience as well as their personal development. As a young woman who has faced her fair share of difficulties being on the spectrum, I feel passionately about changing the stigma and providing the level of care I once sought at school and make it an environment ALL children enjoy being in. I am currently seeking work experience within the field of Psychology and would love to work alongside a company/individual with passion, integrity and the desire to teach and support a career driven individual who wants nothing more than to succeed and make the lives of others, better.
