About Lauren Yip

I am an M.Sc. candidate in psychology and addictions, and a current mental health and addictions rehabilitation and outreach worker in outpatient psychiatry. Primarily, I work with adult patients diagnosed with chronic moderate to severe mental illness, personality disorders, and concurrent substance use disorders. I work collaboratively with interdisciplinary allied health and psychiatry to rehabilitate patients back into their community by increasing their overall quality of life and independence, and expanding their support network. My goal is to create individualized treatment plans to assist patients in building skills using a strength-based psychosocial rehabilitation model, and incorporated tailored resources to ensure a successful transition back into everyday functioning.
