About Lauri Anderson
I have an educational teaching and counseling background with administrative and leadership experience and have worked in both higher education and K-12 educational organizations. I currently work for Tyler ISD as their Director of Guidance and Counseling where I supervise 54 school and mental health counselors and am responsible for our district's character education program, college and career program, trauma-informed care program, safe and supportive schools program, and the district crisis response team. I am also a TBRI® Practitioner and passionate about implementing trauma-informed care practices into the day-to-day activities and interactions of our district’s faculty, staff, and students in order to effect positive culture change. These varied experiences enable me to successfully carry out a variety of duties and responsibilities. I believe that successfully managing and leading people starts with building and maintaining strong and supportive relationships.
