Lauri McKelvey-Francis has been an integral member of the Artrageous team since the show’s inception in 2014, taking on the roles of producer, performer, costumer designer, choreographer, and media representative. In wearing these many hats, Lauri is responsible not only for conceptualizing and bringing to life one-of-a-kind performances, but also for handling all aspects of client relations, ensuring events run smoothly and efficiently. Lauri’s goal is to cultivate an atmosphere that delights and inspires, involving audience members in every way possible, and she approaches each event as a unique opportunity to provide an unforgettable experience for clients and guests alike. Lauri has over 20 years of experience as a performance artist, costume designer, and client liaison, traveling the world with Artrageous, The Pink Flamingos, Art Explosion and The 3 Painters in engaging and interactive performances. Wearing several hats as On-Site Event Coordinator, Costume Designer, Choreographer and Performer, I bring over twenty years of experience and expertise to each event my team and I oversee. Working closely with clients, I help create the desired ambiance and coordinate all the details of the show and how it fits into your theatre or event. As Costume Designer for The Pink Flamingos, Art Explosion and The 3 Painters, I design and create captivating stage costumes for themed events all over the world. As Choreographer, I work to create engaging, exciting dance routines and specialty choreography for each of the themes we perform. I perform with Artrageous and The Pink Flamingos as a live performance artist, dancer, singer and emcee, making it my goal to inspire and involve audience members. Because Artrageous Experience is about YOU, the audience, I make it my job to ensure that you have the time of your life. I am heavily involved in the production, the branding and focused national marketing. Now with a new role as Executive Director of the non-profit arm, Artrageous Artreach, I am excited to be able to reach underserved students across the country in a deeper and more personal way to help understand the importance of the arts in daily life and teach them to utilize the arts as tools to maintain balance, instill teamwork and create empathy. In every way possible, my team and I make sure your show & event runs smoothly and efficiently and make our clients job a little bit easier.
