About Lauri Sohlo

I have passion for energy and environment. That is the reason why I chose to study process engineering and selected industrial energy and environmental technology as my major studies in the University of Oulu. Renewable energy, resource efficiency and environmental impacts are couple main points where university has given valuable information to me. I believe that worker who is passionate on his work can manage almost every problem. What comes to me, I try to develop myself and search new challenges all the time. My previous experience in agriculture will help me to find practical solutions and being a hands-on worker. My Master’s Thesis subject related to one of my interests, renewable energy. I developed laboratory scale slow pyrolysis equipment by taking care of dimensioning, work safety as well as products quality and use. I analysed biocoal use as a fertilizer and gas fraction as a source of energy. I also compared different waste managing processes, such as digestion and composting. I also have earlier work experience from energy plans and energy efficiency.
