About Laurie Brown

As a Lead Remote Case Coordinator and Health Systems Specialist at the US Army Medical Regional Command Europe, I coordinate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure health care is available for our military families in Europe and Africa. I have a bachelor's degree in health science and an associate degree in physical therapist assistant, as well as multiple certifications in group exercise, yoga, and mind body medicine. I have a passion to be of service to our active duty and veteran population, and to make health care accessible to everyone. Before moving to Germany, I worked for the Orlando VA as a Licensed Physical Therapist Assistant for eight years, where I delivered yoga classes and mind body medicine classes as part of the Whole Health program. I also contributed to a leadership symposium and taught mind body skills to the Department of Army emerging leaders, earning a certificate of achievement. I have a passion for education and volunteerism, as well as working to create an efficient and effective multidisciplinary approach to patient care. Living in Europe for the past few years has given me a new perspective on health care and the challenges and opportunities it presents.
