My experience and diversity allow me to understand all aspects of operations, including the up and down stream impacts that the payroll service delivery model has throughout the organization.About me:My career aspiration was to become a nurse until life circumstances altered my course and gravitated me to a career in payroll. A payroll and nursing professional are typically the type of person that everyone wants to know, but nobody wants to be. In comparison, they are very similar in the type of skills that it takes to be successful. Both careers require passion, professionalism, cultural awareness, complete attention to detail, critical thinking, compassion and empathy, time management, strong communication, technical skills and staying abreast of the changes in the industry/profession. In addition to having these skill sets and experience in progressive payroll roles over the span of 20+ years, including a role as a Payroll Operations Manager, I am very passionate about my work. Why? Because I am a believer that people are the most valuable asset of a company and I feel that payroll plays a significant role in people retention and satisfaction. A role in payroll also allows me to help people with something that is very important to their livelihood and that motivates me to go above and beyond and do great work.
