The Biography of Laveta L. ParkerLaveta Lashelle Parker was born in Memphis, TN. She is the daughter of Mr. Clyde and Mrs. Glendora Jacobs.Mrs. Parker is a graduate of Warrensville Heights High School in Warrensville Heights,Ohio. She is a graduate from the University of Akron holding an Associates of Liberal Arts, a Bachelor’s degree majoring Organization Supervision and a minor in Business Administration. Additionally, Mrs. Parker has a Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt and Business Management certification from the University of Akron.Mrs. Parker worked in corporate investment banking at National City Bank now known as PNC Bank for 15 years. In 2009 she was hired as Administrative Assistant to Blaine A. Griffin, former director of the Community Relations Board of the City of Cleveland. Currently, Mrs. Parker is the Executive Assistant to Blaine A. Griffin as he services as President of Cleveland City Council.A woman of strong faith, Mrs. Parker is active in ministry. She is a licensed evangelist, serves as an administrator for her local church and actively works in her diocese. She is the co-founder of The Good News Concert Series, established with her husband John Parker to present faith-based programming and events.Mrs. Parker the author of a children’s book titled “LaLa Goes to Germany.” She has appeared at community events, and schools.
