About Lavinya Puvanathan

A graduate of the University of Nottingham Malaysia with a degree in Finance, Accounting, and Management. I am deeply passionate about subjects and projects related to data analytics, financial technology, and the evolving field of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG). Driven by a strong desire to deepen my expertise, I am currently aspiring to pursue a Master’s degree. Beyond academics, I am also committed to community development, particularly in the area of education. During my time at UNM, I served as an Organizing Committee member for the Reduce Education Disparity (RED) Project - an initiative aimed at bridging the education gap. As part of this effort, we conducted bi-weekly learning sessions for children aged 5 to 15 at local children’s homes in Semenyih, Malaysia, focusing on both academic and personal development. This experience not only strengthened my leadership and organizational skills but also reinforced my belief in using education as a powerful tool for social change.
