About Lawrence Britten

Active Duty Naval Officer with over 19 years of experience in managing, administering, and coordinating the maintenance and logistic planning support of 72 aircraft across 9 squadrons. My mission is to ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and readiness for the air wing operations. I am passionate about developing and empowering my cross-functional team of 47 officers and 1,600 Sailors, and fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. As the Carrier Air Wing Maintenance Officer, I am responsible for the management, administration, and coordination of all aspects of the air wing maintenance program, including budgeting, scheduling, training, quality assurance, inspections, and compliance. I leverage my skills in leadership, program management, and problem-solving to optimize the performance and availability of aircraft, and to deliver timely and effective solutions to the air wing commander and the fleet. I also partner with other stakeholders, such as the carrier maintenance officer, the air wing commander, and the supply officer, to ensure alignment and integration of the maintenance and logistic plans and processes. With a Master of Science in Aeronautics and a Bachelor of Science in Business, I have a strong background and expertise in aeronautics, aviation, aerospace science and technology, and business and commerce.
