I am currently an Epidemiologist II, working as a Field Staff employee of the CDC Foundation in the Global Disease Detection Operations Center (GDDOC) in the Division of Global Health Protection (DGHP) at the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Previously I was a PHI/CDC Global Health Fellow (formerly the ASPPH Allan Rosenfield Global Health Fellowship) in the Division for Global HIV & TB, where I worked in the HIV Prevention Branch, and was on the Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision (VMMC) team. Before CDC, I worked for over four years as a Research Assistant and Policy Analyst at the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP), working on issues related to health system performance and population health. I also have experience teaching public and global health, both as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Gillings School of Global Public Health at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, and as an Instructor for Broadreach. I received a BA in History from Bates College, and an MSPH in Health Policy & Management from the Gillings School.
