About Lawrence Searles
Though in parish work, my major objective objective is to promote a personal encounter with Christ through the Sacraments, pastoral activities and the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola. My particular interest is to help young adults and adolescents to discover the treasure that the Christian faith is, and to be initiated into the art of discernment so that they might be better enabled to make intelligent decisions informed by faith. My interest in terms of vocations is to help young adults to discern the mission God has for them within His plan for humanity, be it within the context of priesthood, religious life, married life or as a single person. Following the lead of Pope Francis, I am actively seeking ways to transform the parish community into a "Field Hospital" by putting our Catholics in contact with the Puerto Rican reality through service to the most physically and spiritually needy.
