About Lawrence Swing

I recently graduated from Decker School of Nursing's Baccalaureate Accelerated BSN Program. I am excited to begin my nursing career as a Cardiothoracic ICU nurse at NYU Langone Health. My passion for healthcare has led me to where I am today and I see it as a privilege to care for the diverse population that NYC presents. I have previous experience as an Emergency Medical Technician at several agencies located in Lynbrook, Binghamton, and Point Lookout. As an EMT, I have been able to provide holistic care for patients at their worst. I have gained invaluable experiences from being an EMT. It has helped me become empathetic and given me critical thinking, leadership, and problem solving skills. Additionally, I spend some of my free time volunteering as a Firefighter/EMT for the Lynbrook Fire Department. I have earned the rank of 2nd Lieutenant of Hose Co.1. It is an honor to work along my fellow volunteers and give back to the community I was raised in!
