About Lay Taylor

I am Program/Project manager that recently helped a large financial services company re-platform two critical data stores. The first re-platform was a 2 plus year effort concerning itself with operational data. I was involved with the strategy, technology selection, sizing, delivery and testing of this effort. The second re-platform concerned itself with the data warehouse, it highlighted a highly compressed timeline with the same complexities as the first effort. I was able to foster and leverage great relationships allowing me to successfully manage thru risks and issues associated with the compressed timeline. I help organizations complete complex IT efforts by carrying and building a culture of collaboration, camaraderie and transparency. Both projects mentioned above were completed on time and on budget because folks care about the organization, the work and each other. I place great emphasis on teamwork with an open exchange of ideas to drive motivation, productivity, and passion. What results is a team that cares for each other and their work product. I believe this is the blueprint for success. Previous responsibilities have included: Project Manager – Infrastructure Refresh, Project Manager eCommerce. Focus areas: SDLC, Data Management, Enterprise architecture, Agile Scrum, Team Development. Previous accomplishments: Project Management responsibilities to deliver new features and functionality for a suite of large eCommerce sites, primary IT liaison to executive business stakeholders, platform refresh - evaluation through implementation, portfolio planning, and new capability creation (e.g. a multilingual international channel).
