About Layla Soileau

I design systems that help people make confident decisions in high-stakes environments. Airline operations. Government benefits. Healthcare. Consumer products. At Amdocs Studios, I lead design for Southwest Airlines Crew Bid & Award — reshaping how pilots and flight attendants bid for vacation, lines, and training. At H-E-B, I founded the company's first digital accessibility program. Screen reader users could complete checkout independently for the first time. That work led to a research contract with Figma. I'm also the sole founder of Craft Five — an AI-native screenwriting practice tool. I designed it, built it, and shipped it alone. I prototype in Figma Make and Kiro. I've built a Kiro template and about fifteen agent hooks so the rest of my team can ship interactive prototypes without touching the CLI. I'm as focused on the conditions for good design as the design itself. Strategy, systems, and the connective tissue between product, engineering, and business.
