About Layne Barnes

As an IT Systems and HRIS Analyst with a background in healthcare information systems, I am dedicated to ensuring that Human Resources and Payroll along with other core business applications are supported effectively and efficiently. My passion though is in serving others. It reminds me about a science fiction story about a fictional book entitled “How to Serve Man”. Initially it appeared as if this was a formula to assist mankind, until someone figured out it was really a cookbook. While I enjoy cookbooks and cooking, I would never think about becoming a cannibal. Instead, I am driven to serve others by using the recipe of listening, learning, finding solutions and meeting the needs of my customers. With that in mind I work closely in the service of Human Resources and the people they in turn help. I am energized when I find ways to make administrative and business customers and colleagues’ work lives easier. My skills set includes: implementation, configuration, report writing, integrations, data mining, and getting pay rules to work perfectly. In addition, I am committed to being a support to the community through active engagement in local government serving as a Councilmember and Planning Commissioner.
