About Lea Bauer

I’m a tech person with a strategic mindset and much curiosity for new problems and solutions. My passion is learning - about new industries, trends, and cultures. I studied Anthropology and ran a film production company, which taught me to look at problems as uniquely situational and part of an overall narrative. The MBA added structured thinking and a focus on business. I’m an expert in market places, internationalization, and building distributed teams. I launched Books on Google Play in DACH and closed distribution deals in ~7 markets. For Udemy, I lead the German market team and tripled revenues within a year. I was the second employee at a blockchain startup focused on the Financial Supply Chain, where I took charge of US operations and ICO prep. New territory doesn’t phase me; in fact, I thrive on it. I moved to San Francisco with only one suitcase, to find a job in the Valley. To this date, this is one of the best decisions I made. Currently, I’m splitting my time between different projects in the VC and startup worlds. In the medium term, I’m looking to either join a pre-Series B startup with a strong team and business case or start my own thing.
