About Leah Barcan

As a learning specialist at Cambridge College, I support the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching (CELT) in designing and delivering high-quality courses and programs for faculty and students. I have a master's degree in education from Harvard Graduate School of Education, where I focused on administration, planning, and social policy, and a bachelor's of human ecology from College of the Atlantic, where I obtained my teacher certification. With over 20 years of experience in the education field, I have worked as a teacher, curriculum developer, instructional designer, and consultant for various schools and organizations. I have developed and taught courses on topics such as diversity, equity, inclusion, critical thinking, creativity, and innovation, and I have contributed to several publications and projects on educational research and best practices. My core competencies include curriculum design, pedagogy, assessment, online learning, faculty development, and educational leadership. I am passionate about enhancing the quality and effectiveness of teaching and learning, and I strive to create inclusive, engaging, and empowering learning environments for diverse learners and educators. And my favorite ice cream is coffee Heath Bar crunch.
