About Leah Ehinger

My passion is on the overall wellbeing of human beings in the form of individual and organizational work. I work individually with people on addressing feelings and connecting to their bodies through somatic practices such as visualization, breath and movement. I work organizationally on teams that provide incredible and crucial services for the empowerment and improvement of humans and communities through project management, evaluation, planning and strategy. I have am a group fitness instructor, a yoga teacher and a long time student to somatics and polyvagal therapeutic techniques. I believe the body is a keeper of wisdom and works in tandem with the mind and spirit. My work with individuals focuses on their daily experiences, tapping into the feelings associated with them, acknowledging and releasing those feelings. I also work with folks to name feelings in the body and teach them practices to rewire the central nervous system for peace. I have experience working with nonprofits in varying degrees. My most recent nonprofit experience began in start up mode where I evaluated and systematized the fundraising and marketing department for a national education nonprofit. I assessed the needs of affiliate chapters and launched a Community of Practice for Executive Directors across the affiliate network to share and learn from each other professionally. I also project managed for fundraising and community building events virtually and in person. My experience with nonprofit leadership and organization comes from a rigorous graduate education in program evaluation and research. I believe that in order to succeed, it is important to take stock of strengths as well as challenges on a team, department or organization. I am trained to evaluate, strategize and plan for change and continue to use these skills in every professional setting I inhabit. My love for the people on this earth at this time, my interest in the history and social justice and change, and my skills at leadership inspire my passion for working with individuals and organizations.
