I work as the bridge between researcher and community to identify needs and gaps of research - and help understand the impacts on communities and our environment. I use program evaluation as a learning process to help researchers and research programs achieve their engagement and impact goals. I have extensive experience in program development, grant management, curriculum design, and broader impacts at the Desert Research Institute. This includes successfully securing funding to support innovative STEM initiatives, enhancing community outreach and collaboration with state colleges. I have a proven track record in fostering K-12 student engagement through a variety of STEM programs, overseeing logistical management, significantly expanding the STEM program to serve over students across Nevada. I have professional experience as a Biologist, Lab Manager, Science Communication specialist and as a Coordinator for multiple environmental companies.
