About Leah Murphy

As a driven student at the Kelley School of Business majoring in Accounting, I’m motivated by a strong work ethic and a genuine interest in solving problems, working with others, and making an impact through my work. My background in competitive gymnastics has shaped many of the qualities I bring to the table today: discipline, attention to detail, resilience, and the ability to perform under pressure. These traits translate well into the field of accounting. Throughout my academic career, I’ve made it a priority to take on new challenges both inside and outside the classroom. Whether it’s leading as a coach, staying active in athletics, or managing multiple responsibilities at once, I’ve learned how to stay organized, focused, and adaptable. This summer, I’ll be interning with DuCharme, McMillen & Associates in their tax division. I’m looking forward to gaining real-world experience, developing my skills in a professional environment, and exploring the different paths available within accounting and finance. I’m excited to continue learning, growing, and building a strong foundation for my future career.
