TEACHING PHILOSOPHY: I have been with Morgan Community College for three years. As a faculty member of MCC and the Agriculture and Business Management program, I believe that everyone can better their situation through education. The ABM program is unique to each individual student who embarks on this educational journey with me. I learn as much from my students as they learn from me. My classes are inquiry based with collaboration from all. Fostering the goals students set for themselves is my passion in teaching! Small rural business owners, farmers, ranchers, aspiring entrepreneurs inspire me to better myself and provide support for your business to succeed. I am passionate about both Agriculture and Business and the endless potential that entrepreneurial capitalism has to offer! MY CREDENTIALS: I obtained my Bachelor of Science from Colorado State University in Animal Science and Business Administration. I began a Master’s in Agricultural Education and obtained my CO state teaching license and CTE (Career and Technical Education) credentials to teach High School Ag Education. I taught High School for 2.5 years on the Front Range and in Southeastern Colorado. My business knowledge was fostered from working for family business’s, but also working as a supervisor at several Starbucks stores across the Front Range. I was responsible for employee trainings and development as well as ensuring the store was meeting sales and efficiency goals.
