About Leandro Ikeda

With more than 15 years of experience leading technology infrastructure, SRE and Cloud Computing in companies such as Unico Idtech, PagSeguro and HP, my passion is to build and manage highly reliable and performing systems that directly impact the customer experience and business results. I specialize in implementing and scaling the SRE culture, focusing on objective metrics (SLI/SLO, Error Budget) and continuous optimization of processes and costs. At Unico Idtech, I led the restructuring of product monitoring, implementing a user-centered observability approach with SLIs and SLOs. This initiative resulted in the creation of +200 SLIs for key products, enabling the proactive detection of degradations. The most significant impact was the drastic reduction in MTTR from several hours to a few minutes, raising the perception of operational excellence and providing crucial data for leadership OKRs. I constantly seek to optimize efficiency, such as at PagSeguro, where cloud cost reduction initiatives generated annual savings of USD 600k. I am a servant leader, focused on developing high-performance teams, promoting collaborative and ‘blameless’ cultures, and applying agile methodologies to consistently deliver value.
