About Leanna Beale

My Goals for College and Career I am currently pursuing an Associate’s degree in Music Education. My goal is to be an elementary school music teacher-I want to teach little kids how to sing, play guitar, and maybe orchestra too. I plan to change my major from Music to Education so that I can be better prepared to teach, and I plan to take out a double major in English. English is my best subject but Music is the one I am most passionate about. I was a street performer: I played guitar and sang for tips in Centro Ybor. After I graduate from HCC I plan to transfer to USF to fully pursue my music career. I eagerly anticipate attending The University of South Florida School of Music. I have worked with the music professors as part of the USF Festival of Voices, in which high schoolers got to work with, learn from, and sing with the professors, as well as sing with the Tampa Bay Master Chorale, which I hope to join someday. I plan to have a complete career in music and music education but I might teach English. I am kind, fair, goal-oriented, can think on my feet, and can calmly adapt to changing situations.
