About Leanne Cairns

Leanne graduated with a B.S. in Engineering Management and devoted the first 15 years of her career working on large, transportation infrastructure projects in Phoenix, Southern California and Seattle. Leanne’s desire for improving access and the livelihood of communities has inspired her to focus the last 6 years of her career on advancing underrepresented communities by working with Native American Tribes throughout the U.S. Outside of the construction industry and to pursue her love for design, Leanne has launched and grown both product and service-based businesses. Her accessory lines were sold in internationally acclaimed retail stores such as Anthropologie and this led to hosting business workshops and retreats empowering hundreds of entrepreneurs and leaders to achieve their professional goals. Leanne’s technical background and passion for helping underrepresented communities has also inspired her to guide women in STEM industries in achieving their personal health and wellbeing goals. She is also very passionate about helping young women develop the skills they need to resist societal expectations and barriers to thrive in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
