About Leanne Hardman

Leanne has an Honors Biological Science degree from the University of Guelph and began her Insurance Career with The Co-operators in 2001 as an Accident Benefits Adjuster. She obtained her CIP Designation in 2010. She joined Unifund Assurance as a Supervisor in their AB department in 2011 first Leading the AB Support team then in 2012 as a Team Leader for Intermediate and Senior level adjusters. Leanne is an instructor with the Insurance Institute of Ontario and has been a subject matter expert, content contributor and technical facilitator for “Understanding Serious Injury” an Insurance Institute course for experienced injury adjusters focused on serious injury claims handling. Her passion for education lead Leanne to develop a clinic for continued education and skill enhancement for adjusters at RSA/Unifund. Leanne has volunteered since 2010 for the Ontario Insurance Adjusters Association, established in 1931 the OIAA supports Adjusters in Ontario focused on ethical claims adjusting and as a liaison for adjusters in the business of insurance. First as a Toronto Delegate, Leanne then served 5 years on the Senior Executive and then as the 89th President of the OIAA. She has mentored students in the Humber College Insurance Program and members of YIPT and serves as a member of the Centennial Insurance Program Advisory Council. She has also volunteered since 2006 on a Board of Directors for a Condominium Corporation in York Region, holding the position of President since 2012. She has her Joint Health & Safety Certification, First Aid and CPR. Leanne’s project work includes working alongside McKinsey reviewing E2E processes and she has her Lean Six Sigma White Belt. Leanne is a very proud recipient of the Technical Excellence Award – Individual Award in 2020 from RSA Group of Companies.
