About Leanne Hays

I am a Mid Career Researcher, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement lead and Programme Manager at the Irish Critical Care - Clinical Trials Network at University College Dublin/St. Vincent's University Hospital conducting clinical trials in the criticality ill with an aim to improve outcomes for our patients. My work focuses on pandemic and respiratory clinical trials, patient and public involvement and engagement, equality, diversity and inclusion and biological sampling in adaptive platform trials and capacity-building through global collaboration for patient-centred trials. Prior to this, I completed postdoctoral and research assistant positions in ICU clinical trials. My PhD in the Moyne Institute of Preventive Medicine, Trinity College Dublin focused on the study of biofilm formation by Staphylococcus aureus and the development of novel inhibitors to prevent biofilm.
