About Leanne MacDonald

With a BA (Hons) in International Business Management, and an MSc in Digital Marketing from RGU, I’ve built a strong foundation in the world of digital marketing - fuelled by curiosity, creativity and a love for storytelling. My marketing journey began during an internship at RCL Cruises, where I dove headfirst into the fast-paced digital landscape. From there, I’ve continued to evolve my skills through hands-on roles, including Acair as a Digital Marketing Graduate, where I honed expertise in social media strategy, SEO, email campaigns, website management, content creation, event planning, and more. I have since carried out freelance social media work under the name ‘Isle Market It’, helping small businesses build a digital presence with tailored content and strategy. Most recently, I held the role of Digital Storyteller at the Isle of Harris Distillery. Managing a multi-channel social media presence across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X and TikTok, I helped shape and share the unique story of the Social Distillery with audiences near and far. I now look forward to the next chapter in my marketing journey, bringing new ideas, creative energy and a love for storytelling through projects I can dive into.
