I started my insurance career with Commerical Union in Bendigo Victoria as an Account Manager, those were the fun days, driving around using the fire maps to visit our rural clients and also our Authorised Representative network. From Bendigo, I went to manage CGU in Hobart Tasmania, being part of the community working closely with the Tasmanian Fire Brigade and Police on the neighborhood watch scheme which was introductory at the time. Representing CGU on the Insurance Council of Australia Board and nominal Workers Compensation scheme. I was provided many defining career roles with IAG Group, PID Manager Victoria, Dispute Resolution Manager, and Business Relationship Manager in the Business partnership division. For 10 years I was the CGU Academy Manager and then had the opportunity to live in Auckland NZ and work for NZI as the NZI Academy Manager which I enjoyed very much and made friends I still have today. My technical skill base easily adapted to insurance broking and over the last 6 years, my main focus has been on Compliance, Complaint Management, Claims, and Operations supporting brokerage business with an uncomplicated approach to legislation implementation. I am a committed, motivated, straightforward Insurance Professional. With a successful career across Insurance Underwriting and Brokerage Businesses in Australia and New Zealand, my interests are in Claims, Complaints Management, Compliance, Staff upskilling and development, and operational processes-related roles.
