I am curious. I love finding connections that are out of the ordinary, telling stories that challenge the norm, engaging with many and solving complex problems. I believe work should be about doing something good. I have used my skills in communications, anthropology and management, working in government, the UN, NGOs and consultancies in six countries. Through my career I have excelled in building strategic and innovative responses to complex challenges, delivering big and small projects and managing and coaching teams. I love connecting with people and I love to write, persuade and bring about change. I am a trusted advisor to CEOs and executive teams. I see the big picture and the small details. My cool head, collaborative approach and commitment to deadlines set me apart in issue management and post-disaster recovery. In 2022 I undertook a Churchill Fellowship investigating how councils can respond to rough sleeping while balancing responsibilities to the wider community. I visited the UK, US and Canada, interviewing some 90 people in government, organisations and services. My report, Everybody’s Business, identifies the specific role local government can play in ending Australia’s Homelessness crisis and provides practical guidelines and case studies to assist Councils to take action.
