2022 Presidents Club Winner In Transportation management roles for 8 years, preceded by roles such as Senior Transport & Customs Analyst, I have developed a deep, comprehensive knowledge of the industry, and its issues and potential issues and their resolution. Promoted through several roles with TD SYNNEX Canada, a technology distributor shipping throughout Canada as well as the US, there is not a shipping factor with which I am unfamiliar – my understanding is holistic and encompassing. A quote by which I live and work is attributed to Ziad Abdelnour, and executive with 30+ years’ experience on Wall Street. It goes like this: “Life is like a camera. Focus on what’s important, capture the good times, develop from the negatives and if things don’t work out, take another shot!” These words fit my nature and steer my decisions. Focus: I am constantly pivoting to prioritize and problem solve. I focus on what I know is truly critical – customer expectations and relationships, direct reports’ mentoring/training, and meeting goals, daily and strategic. Good Times: Eternally an optimist – I always see that glass as half-full and recognize opportunities where others see only insurmountable problems – this genuinely fits my nature. Also, I create “good times” by staying supremely organized (I adore order) and by selecting, training, and mentoring my team to top performers with clear expectations. Take Another Shot: I am strong willed, confident, and resourceful. It’s not often I all-out fail, but I sure do pivot as needed to recreate a strategy if I meet up with an unforeseen obstacle.(I’m a creative brainstormer, after all!) I love our industry – it is dynamic in its scope and complexity – and invite connections.
